Oxygen Media Gives 10 Fans an Adventure Caribbean Cruise With "XENA, Be A Warrior Princess Sweepstakes" -- Oxygen Fans Can Also Vote Online For Their Favorite XENA Episodes To Air During All-Day "XENATHON" on Sunday, October 28, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET
NEW YORK, Oct 16, 2001 (ENTERTAINMENT WIRE) -- Oxygen Media, the exclusive home of the hit series "XENA, Warrior Princess," is giving fans the chance to win a five-night, six-day all-expense paid Caribbean Adventure for two aboard a Windjammer Cruise, when they enter the "Oxygen `XENA, Be A Warrior Princess Sweepstakes.'"
Sponsored by Chevy, the contest will award the trip to 10 national grand prize winners and mountain bikes to one winner in every participating affiliate market, who will be randomly selected from entries received between Friday, October 26, and Tuesday, November 26.
Viewers can register for the sweepstakes on Oxygen's web site ( www.oxygen.com/xena) or by filling out an entry form, which can be obtained through their local cable operators and at local retail partner locations. Wink TV subscribers also will have the ability to register for the national consumer contest through their service. In addition, the contest will be promoted throughout the month on Oxygen and oxygen.com, as well as through print advertising, mailings, and the informational stripe that runs along the bottom of all Oxygen programming.
Oxygen viewers can vote online (www.oxygen/xena) until Thursday, October 25, for their favorite episodes that will run during the all-day "XENATHON," on Sunday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
A total of 103 cable affiliates have registered so far for the multi-layered promotion, which allows operators to customize the contest to meet their local advertising sales, subscriber acquisition, and digital upgrade needs.
Entries must be received by Tuesday, November 26. Grand prize and local winners will be notified during the final week of December 2001.
Oxygen is the exclusive home of "XENA, Warrior Princess," the groundbreaking series that has redefined the female action hero. The series chronicles the life-and-death-and-afterlife adventures of the warrior princess, played by Lucy Lawless and her sidekick Gabrielle, played by Renee O'Connor.
