Copyright 1998 The Federal Capital Press of Australia Pty Limited The Canberra Times June 8, 1998, Monday Edition : Part TVG; Page 14 : 190 words HEADLINE: XENA'S DIRTY DOZEN Xena: Warrior Princess, Ten Capital, 7.30pm: "Going up against the God of War Aries is insane!" snarls one of the dirty half-dozen superkillers Xena has recruited (a la The Dirty Dozen) to fight against a rampaging Aries. It is even more insane than he knows because in this adventure Aries' right hand megathug is Agathon who somehow has come by a magic metal which he uses to dress his army in magic, impenetrable armour and to make himself a sword that cuts through other swords, shields (and anything at all, really) like a chain saw cutting through cheese. Xena offers her recruits (again a la The Dirty Dozen) the choice of certain death in prison or highly probable death against Aries. They choose the latter, grumbling ungratefully as they do so. One of them finds a chink (at the armpits) in the sthe baddies' armour and the token woman (surprise, surprise, a great big blonde with breasts that threaten to spill out of her ar mour-plated bodice) is so spectacularly good at head breaking and groin kicking that it will not surprise if she gets her own show. Our rating: Half-a-dozen stars. - Ian Warden
