The Battle

For 10 years you fought a battle against enemies far and wide.
A rage burned inside you pushing through to your victories.
But now the rage has subsided yet the darkness lingers.
The field of this new battle is not one that can be conquered easily.
This new war is one that rages inside you each day.
Your courage, your fears, your hopes and dreams
Your anger, your hate, your love, your compassion
All of your emotions fight for your soul.
But always remember that you are not alone in your struggle.
I will always be here beside you helping you
And I know that one day all that is good about you will be victorious.
