Sent: 25 May 2001 4:50I was there from Sins of the Past and thank you to everyone involved in the show, especially Lucy and Renee.
For me the show has been life changing. I know people use this term often, but for me it is 100% true.
Through the internet Xena community I have made friends I will never lose, some I have met and others that I wish I could. I have read wonderful stories that have moved and inspired me from many fanfic authors. I am connected to all these people on many different levels thanks to a TV show.
However what has really affected me in every way imaginable is that I have found my partner and soulmate through Xena. I was living but not alive, but now I think that life is great!! I cannot begin to explain the difference she has made to me and my existence, but I thank God every day that we met. I have no doubt at all that this would have never happened if it wasn't for Xena and specifically Xenaville UK (thanks Cathy).
So my heart felt thanks go out to all those who had a hand in creating the show.
Battle On.

Sent: 24 May 2001 16:08I would like to thank Lucy and Renee for changing my life. If it weren't
for them I would have never meet my best friend and angel . They gave me
strength and hope and a more positive attitude. I realize they are just
actors but they are the ones how gave life to Xena and Gabby . I give all
of the credit to them for making my life stronger and fuller with every
show. Weather I laughed or I cried, I always came away with a full filling
inside. I will miss you very much. But thanks to my best friend (debbie) I
have every episode on tape(without commercials). I just want to say I think
of you as part of my family, I love you and I will miss your show. Battle
on.

Date: 24 May 2001 4:58Well,Jules told her side, now I guess I'll tell my side and what this
show has meant to me. It came on at a time in my life when I was told I
probably wouldn't make it past another year, lung cancer had reared it's
ugly head in my life, and at the time I wasn't sure I cared much if it
took me. Well sick from chemo I was in bed watching tv when the trilogy
that introduced Xena on Herc came on,and tall dark and deadly beautiful
came on I think my eyebrows shot to my hairline I was smitten on the
spot. I could totally relate to Xena's rage,it was something I knew all
to well. Anyway, when I heard it was to become a series I was happy, for
an hour every week I could completely forget about my illness and just
sit and drool for an hour. I got online to meet other Xena fans and my
life changed,I went into remission, met many great friends and the love
of my life. I hit a landmark last Feb and made it 4 years cancer
free, and sunday I celebrate 4 years of living with Jules. Not bad for a
woman who is suppose to be dead now. My 5 year cancer free birthday
isn't to far away, and when I hit that I can breath easier again,or
rather just breath free for the first time in my life. Wopila(thankyou)
Lucy and Renee for the best 6 years of tv I have ever seen. I'm sorry to
see it go,but the memories will live on in my heart and mind.Kendal Little Wolf/aka Blackfoot

THE LEGACY OF XENA
Once upon a time on a day not so long in the past
Robert Tapert had a vision the critics said would never last
He shared his vision with a friend he had known for many years
This friend, Sam Raimi, told him to put aside his fears
So Robert did as his friend had advised
And the legend of Xena Warrior Princess became televised
Her legend began on a dark day in Amphipolis
When an evil warlord attacked her village and left it all amiss
She made a vow to herself to make this evil man pay
For the hateful things he had done on that dreadful day
Because of the evil she had seen, a warrior she became
Which caused men to tremble at the mention of her name
She soon gained the strength to conquer any adversary
Which over time gave her a heavy burden to carryShe learned many hard lessons over the years
That still would not allow her to shed her tears
Until she was befriended by the bard to be known as Gabrielle
Xena was now able to begin releasing some of this deep buried HellTheir friendship grew and blossomed into a journey of the soul
That they shared along the way even though at times it took a toll
The cherished friendship of these two would endure
All the difficult hardships they faced only made the connection more pureThis journey is coming to a close, but will never be erased
From the minds of the Xena fans that have the legacy placed
In their hearts for now and forever
We will always be grateful for your Xena Warrior Princess endeavor

Sent: 24 May 2001 0:05I have watched Xena since it first aired, and it has enabled me to make
a better life for myself and influenced me to make a difference in many
peoples lives. Without Xena, I would not have met many people that I
know today. I am a Deaf woman, who does not see others or herself as
having a handicap, I am normal in all ways. Just because I cannot hear
what peope say, does not mean I do not have a brain between my ears
LOL... Xena is a strong role model for everyone regardless of our
handicaps, skin color, or beliefs. She is truly a great example for
women out there. She will live on in many of our memories and our hears
as well as our lives. We enjoyed the cast and crew and appreciate the
hard work they put into this for the fans all over. We will miss each
and every person who dedicated their lives to enrich and entertain us
all.And I know I will check back online to see what they are doing with
their lives.Tracy

Sent: 24 May 2001 5:19G'day,
I can't believe that the show has come to an end! I must admit that the first episode I watched didn't capture me at all, however my second episode which was The Bitter Suite got me intrigued and I wanted to know if Xena and Gabrielle can actually remain good friends. From then on I was hooked and and thankfully through reruns I got to see every single episode. It was great watching a lady-warrior who can actually kick ass and defend herself without worrying about messing up her style. I will miss both Xena and
Gabrielle who I think taught us all a lot of morals and gave a lot of Xenites a good self esteem beyond a doubt.I'm an Aussie living in Malta, an island far off from the Xenaverse and it was great meeting friends online who became your friend in Xena, it's like we have a little community going on. Somewhere where we all fit in no matter what. I hope that even though theprogram is ending that we all still remain friends andeven make new ones, I'm sure that we will though as I guess we can all call ourselves hardcorenutballs :o)
I'm gonna really miss all the guys, it's kinda like we're losing some really good friends. Hopefully, we'll all get to see Lucy and Renee elsewhere and I wish them good luck in whatever they do.Goodbye Lucy and Renee, luv you heaps and Battle On!
You guys have touched us so much and we'll be missing you heaps.
As for the Xenites out there, keep going strong and
Battle On as well XXX

Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2001 3:32 PMI just wanted to say that Xena Warrior Princess has been a huge
part of my life:) I had hoped that it could go on for another season but
sadly it won't:( I will never forget this show as long as I live:)I have
learned so much for the characters Xena and Gabrielle:) This show has shown
me that there are people willing to stand up for other people and has taught
me about the kind of person i would like to be:) I learned that friendship
is a sacred bond:) It also showed me that i can be a woman and be just as
strong or even stronger than a man:) I have learned not to fight just for
the heck of it but to fight for the greater good and help others. This show
has definately proven GIRL POWER! Xena is an inspiring show for women! Hey
jsut because we love our man we don't have to take s**t from him or anyone
else and go with our instincts!!:)Thank you Xena Warrior Princess for the
six wonderful years:) Without the show i wouldn't know where i'd be:)

Well, I am going to be sad to see the two most wonderful women of
tv go. I have my grandmother to thank for introducing me to the show and I
am glad she did. I would like to thank Lucy and Renee for six wonderful
years and even though the show is ending it will be long before I can even
yet to forget the duo. I can honestly say that the show has made a
difference in my life and I will always be in debt to them. A very special
congratulations to Renee for her upcoming baby.Truly a fan,
Veronica

Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2001 10:26 PMI became a Xena fan and follower from the moment that Lucy Lawless
first appeared on screen in the Hercules Xena Trilogy. By the end of the
first episode, THE WARRIOR PRINCESS, I was on my feet cheering that someone
had finally gotten a woman warrior right! There had been many past
attempts, but all fell short of the warrior princess that now rode across
the screen. As the first full season of Xena unfolded, I marveled at how each episode
revealed yet another facet of Lucy Lawless' talent. From her facial
expressions in battle to the small touches (such as cleaning her sword) she
brought the character of Xena to life for all to see.Upon the introduction of Gabrielle, I was unsure as to how a side-kick would
play, but Renee O'Connor brought depth to the role and over the seasons,
melded Gabrielle into a rock solid partner worthy of standing at Xena's
side. The other actors/actresses who made up the Xenaverse should not be slighted.
Hudson L. who made the perfect foil to play off of Xena's dark past, Ted
Raimi, Danielle Carmack, and other memorable folks brought the supporting
cast to life with considerable talent.Looking back over the six seasons, I marvel at how the show "got it right"
on so many levels. Action, drama, and comedy spread out over a 22 episode
season. No doubt that in the years to come debate will still continue over which
season was the best; but viewed as a whole, the six seasons meld into a
tapestry showing us the lives of two women who grew together through their
adventures and love for each other. The show matured as the seasons passed
and took chances and told us stories that mainstream network shows wouldn't
have touched.Rob Tapert, R. J. Stewart, Steve Sears, Liz Friedman, and all of the other
talented folks who practiced their craft to weave tales around the pair that
made us laugh, cry, and sometimes even shout at the television. Joe
LoDuca's musical scores are moving and memorable (especially with Lucy's
vocals!).And so, after six enjoyable seasons, the show is winding down and I'd like
to say that I've enjoyed being a part of the close legion of Xena fans that
are spread across the globe.Thank you, Lucy, Renee, for sharing your considerable talents with all of us
and for being closer to fandom than many stars are these days. Your love of
the characters shows in each episode and I wish you much success in the
future as I (as many others will!) continue to follow your careers.I would also like to thank all of the web-site owners (such as Mary D) who
put so much time and effort into providing Xena fandom with news, vidcaps,
and all the other things that go into making fandom what it is. Your work
is truly appreciated. In closing, I'm saddened that the show must end and feel as if I've lost a
friend, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Goodnight Xena, goodnight Gabrielle. For six years, I lived and breathed the show.
Some people may feel a great emptiness now that the show is over, but what I
feel is this deep ache in my gut and choke in my chest. The show has come to mean so much to me and my partner. To borrow-mangle the Warrior Princess's words: In death, I will take you with me.

Sent: 25 May 2001 0:34Well, what can I say? It will be a sad day when the last episode airs. But
it's been a great run. I saw my first episode in season 3 "Been there, Done
that" after my brother told me I should check this show out. Well it took
me a few eps but I soon realized what a special show Xena really is. At the
heart of this "Chop Socky" show was a very touching romantic tale. So I was
hooked. Gabrielle may have been my first love on the show but I soon learned
to appreciate every part of it.So thanks ROC, LL, RT and all the other cast and crew. We wish you the best.
Cheers,
David

Sent: 24 May 2001 20:30I salute Xena: Warrior Princess and all who worked so hard to create this
extraordinary series. I believe that only something truly mythic could
touch, change and heal lives as this show has. I have most appreciated the
opportunity to see the bond between two women made the subject of drama,
serious and humorous and epic. I was not an immediate fan -- then the show
took me by surprise and I realized that I had waited all my life to see something
like this, something of my hopes and dreams made visible. I know Lucy
Lawless and Renee O'Connor are only part of a larger group of creative
people, but they crafted their characters with such vision and
responsibility that I hope they will always know the joy of having given Xena
and Gabrielle a place in the world.

To quote a famous TV show(Goodbye, farewell and amen). It's hard to believe
that it's been six years since Xena came on the air. I'd like to thank Rob,
Lucy, Renee and the cast for such a wonderful show. I wish I could've gone
to the convention as it sounded like quite a party. Lucy should audition
for the Wonder Woman movie if they already haven't picked out an
actress.(quoting Tina) Hopefully Lucy and co. will read some of these
tributes to realize what a following they have. Thanks againDiane
