Venice The Series Gets A Daytime Emmy Nomination

ImageThis is exciting news. Venice the Series has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy!

Congratulations to Crystal Chappell, Kim Turrisi and the rest of the cast and crew of the web series. In particular I wanted to give a special shoutout to my mate Christa Morris who is an executive producer on the show.

She's worked so hard behind the scenes on the web series AND also helps me with the AUSXIP Charity Auction! How's that for a super effort.

So to everyone associated with Venice The Series, congratulations and I hope you win!

How Was Your Mother's Day by Steven Sears

The Nothern Hemisphere is celebrating Mother's Day today (we had it yesterday) and Steven sent me a link to his blog that, I think, needs to be read.

Please take a moment to read How Was Your Mother's Day by Steven Sears - it has a Xena connection but that's not the important part.

Please go here and read.

thank you.

Tornado Rips Through Auckland Suburb!

Just when you thought New Zealand has suffered enough calamity with the Pike River Mine disaster and then the massive Christchurch earthquake comes the news today that Auckland got a small taste of what the poor Americans have been going through with a tornado!

According to the BBC News the outbreak of tornadoes that ravaged the southern US last week was the largest in US recorded history, the National Weather Service has said. The three-day period from 25-28 April saw 362 tornadoes strike, including some 312 in a single 24-hour period.
334 people have died because of these strikes.

Now comes the news of a tornado ripping through an Auckland suburb!
There have been 2 deaths in this latest disaster; somewhat miraculous when you see how the tornado hit.

Raw video footage of the tornado in Albany (suburb of Auckland)
