I have a blog of sorts...this is not a new updates blog
- that you will find on the main page but it's an archive of all the rambling roses
I write...can't promise to be witty
or insightful or deep and meaningful...it is what it is.
THIS WEEK ON AUSXIP
There's been a few additions and a few changes...you may have noticed
the new banner...thought the site needed a bit of a freshen up so the
main AUSXIP page has been given the new banner and also the winners of
the AUSXIP Talking Xena Banner competitions for
Lucy and
Renee's sites have also been
chosen. Beautiful banners for both sites!
Mesh has been busy creating and has some very exciting news for Stacy
Haiduk fans who can now email Stacy via and AUSXIP.org email account and
it will be answered by Stacy. Check out Mesh's note below. Stacy has
also graciously contributed exclusive images with more on the way. Lots
of good stuff.
Mesh writes:
The
AUSXIP Network site dedicated to Stacy
Haiduk now features a set of exclusive photos, with more on the way.
You may remember Stacy as Lana on Superboy, Lt. Hitchcock on SeaQuest,
or Lisa Tabak on the last season of Prison Break. She's been on shows
ranging from All My Children to The X-Files, she currently stars on The
Young and the Restless as the vulnerable whacko Mary Jane.
Stacy has decided to open a
fan mail account with AUSXIP, you're welcome to email her if you
liked her in any or all her roles.
Come on over and check out the site and don't be shy, email Stacy, she'd
love to hear from you.
For
Erin Cummings fans, the new site dedicated to the Bitch Slap and
Spartacus star is now online. Erin is a super cool lady and I'm very
pleased to be adding this new site to AUSXIP. The GORGEOUS banner was
created by Mesh.
I've updated the AUSXIP Network Section
- some sites were not listed (!) and I've reorganised things a little.
You will find a handy directory at the top of the page which lists:
Actor Sites
TV & Web Show Sites
Artwork
Movie Sites for Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor, Adrienne Wilkinson
Writers & Producers
AUSXIP Interviews
AUSXIP Supported Charities
In Memorial (Kevin Smith and Xenite Memorial)

Lori has reported in with some FABULOUS pictures from the panel. All
of the pics are of Lucy, Rob and Erin. There are more to come. 18
photos have been posted.
With the flurry of PR for the show in full swing, I've added an images section
with the latest PR photos officially released by Starz. AUSXIP has been added as
a media outlet for these images. All images are copyrighted to Starz.
All these images have inspired my muse to get creative. There is a
new banner on the site and I've added a slighter bigger version of this banner
to the new Artwork section in the image galleries.
I've also added pics that were sent to me from Annie who is at
Comic Con - the magazine PR from the comic con program guide will be replaced
with a full size scan once the troops come home.
Richard Cypher was once but a simple woodsman, an
expert tracker and explorer of the trails that run through and around his home
town of Hartland, located in the province known as Westland. He was well liked
by the townspeople, and looked up to his older brother, Michael, the First
Councilor. Their father, George Cypher, raised the two boys after the death of
his wife.
Life was an uneventful series of tasks and duties
for Richard, until fate brought him together with a mysterious and
captivating female, Kahlan Amnell. From a seemingly crazed old man, Zedd,
the truth was soon revealed to Richard. He is a child of prophecy, the first
true Seeker the world has known in a thousand years, destined to wield the
powerful Sword of Truth and defeat the evil tyrant Darken Rahl.
The recovery from May's AUSXIP Atomic Meltdown is still ongoing. I've been
working on bringing back the AUSXIP Legend of the Seeker news archive (that's
currently up to November 2008) and now I'm happy to report that my site
dedicated to Steven Sears is back online!
I posted a note from Steven on 2 May 2009 and then AUSXIP got hit by the hackers
and the seriously dead server so you all may not have read Steven's update
on his new job with Cookie Jar. Go over
and have a read! Thanks everyone for your patience.
The convention page also needs to have parts of it resurrected and other
assorted things. This year AUSXIP Celebrates 14 years online and these last few
months, I can see where all the work has gone <g>
Once again thanks for your patience!

Art Content - Create an AUSXIP Banner!
Here's something different - over at AUSXIP Talking Xena Forum there is an
art contest with a difference. Create the banners for AUSXIP Lucy Lawless,
AUSXIP Flawless Diva (Lucy's Music Site) and AUSXIP Renee O'Connor. This is a
unique opportunity to have your artwork placed on top of the site and all it's
inner pages. If you are interested in submitting artwork check out the
guidelines:
I was driving into work this morning and turned on the radio to the shock news
that Michael Jackson has died. I'm in shock. Michael suffered a heart attack at
the age of 50 and couldn't be revived. I grew up listening to Michael's music
(and he was only 5 years older than me). I love his music. I won't go into his
personal life but his extraordinary musical talent is undeniable and the world
has lost a SUPREMELY talented man. He was a muscial legend and a muscial genius.
I find myself feeling the same way I felt when I learnt that Elvis had
died...wow. Unbelievable.
Goodbye Farrah
It is with great sadness I woke up this morning to the news that one of the
women I admired so much as I was growing up had passed away overnight. Farrah
Fawcett, who entranced a young kid with her bubbly personality and her acting
gift has lost her battle with rectal cancer. I admired Farrah so much. Her
portrayal of the battered woman who fought back in
The
Burning Bed was truly an amazing performance. Ryan O'Neil, her long time
love (and fiance) issued this statement today:
"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed
away," he said. "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and
friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over
the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around
the world."
Thank you for the hours of enjoyment and for your talent, Farrah. Rest in
peace.
