Writers Talk : Tess Gerritsen

Tess Gerritsen, who publishes a new book almost every year, says she never knows what’s going to happen to her characters until she sits down to write the book. In fact, says Gerritsen, she expected Jane Rizzoli to die at the end of the first novel. But as readers know, Rizzoli has since survived 8 books and at least two seasons of a television series (based on the novels) that airs on TNT and stars Angie Harmon. The author visits Writers Talk to discuss her 9th novel in the series, “The Silent Girl.”
