Diamonds and Guns - A Review

What a fun movie! I can honestly say that if you don't laugh just once in
this movie, your sense of humour has gone on a holiday. Slapstick comedies don't
float my boat but this is such a good movie and the slapstick is so well done.
Sometimes the humour in this movie is so understated and other times it just
hits you over the head. I think it needs more than one viewing to catch
all the jokes.
Renee's timing is PERFECT. She can do comedy so well and she shows her
versatility in this movie. I don't know much about production values in movies
but I do know when I've had a rollicking good time watching one. This is one of
those times. I would happily watch this movie again.

have to say this gave me a laugh - I'm not so sure I was
supposed to be laughing. To name a DVD "Lucy and Renee
The Jersey Girls" is rather funny... Jersey Cows...(not that
I'm comparing Lucy and Renee to cows...and the Jersey cow is
not a small beast...okaaayyyy - it must have been the
hamburger I had last night..good thing we don't have mad cow
disease in Oz...

Army Wives Site Update

- I am going to Washington DC for 3
days and have been prepping for that event, in which i
will stand before over 200 senate staffers, reminding
them of the importance in speaking up about PTSD, and
mental health and domestic violence issues after showing
clips from our show. it reminds me again that we are
doing more than just entertaining. we are enlightening.
emboldening some souls. starting some conversations, and
making a difference.

Tracy Hickman prepared this sneak peek of Karl
Preusser's music for GenCon and DragonCon. The piece is
entitled Qualinesti Hymn and is set to a montage of some
of the background plates from the film. Karl composed

- Ghost Town has been accepted to screen at the 5th
Annual Asheville Film Festival being held on 8 November
- 11 November, 2007 in Asheville, North Carolina. The
festival schedule will be available soon at the
festival site.
There will also be a Q&A on the film from the production
staff. Renee won't be at this event. If you are North
Carolina and want to see a great movie - go! Renee is so
cute as Little Jack. The whole movie is superb..

I received the following note from Cat
Crimins that I would like pass on:
My friend Aleida Santiago (who passed away last October
from cancer) had a really big Xena collection. Her surviving
partner, Grace, decided she wanted to auction off the
collection and give a large portion of the proceeds to Lucy
and Renee's charities (Trevor Project for Lucy, Renee has
not decided yet), even though the charities themselves won't
be mentioned in the item descriptions. The first set of
auctions is up on eBay now. Aleida had a huge collection.
She has a lot of original props (the ring from The Ring
Trilogy, a set of Xena leathers, the ambrosia, swords,
costumes, etc) and a lot of the trading cards, comics,
photos. New items will be going up every Sunday night until
everything is sold. The items will are being sold under
Aleida's eBay profile, Cuban40. You can find them by
searching for all the items under that name.

a photograph of Young with actress Lucy Lawless. She’s
just phoned him, as it happens, to say she’ll be winging
back from LA to the Starship annual fund-raiser ball.
“She’s just a great chick – a great Mt Albert girl,” he
says. It was Lawless who helped the foundation spearhead
a campaign back in 2000 to raise funds for a specialist
child abuse service. Puawaitahi – New Zealand’s first
multi-agency centre to investigate and treat child abuse
and neglect cases – opened in November 2002. - many
