Lesbian icon LUCY LAWLESS disappointed many of her fans when she walked down the aisle last week with a man. The star of Xena: Warrior Princess married the show’s executive producer, 43-year-old ROB TAPERT, in a catholic church in Santa Monica.
Lucy’s parents flew in from New Zealand for the occasion, while co-star RENEE O’CONNOR (Gabrielle) and Hecules hunk KEVIN SORBO with his new wife, Chicago Hope’s SAM JENKINS, were also guests at the nuptials. Lucy’s trademark bangs were pulled off her face and she wore a shimmering off-the-shoulder dress designed by the same woman who creates her Xena costumes, with a three-metre train. The 30-year-old actress, who is mother to nine-year-old DAISY, has been married once before to bar manager GARTH LAWLESS.
After the ceremony, the guests were transported in white vans to a reception at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel’s "Pretty Woman" suite, named after the movie. They were treated to champagne and an eight-tier frosted cream-cheese wedding cake.
