NEW YORK (ENTERTAINMENT WIRE) - Viewers Can Log On To oxygen.com During The Special Airing Of "XENA" For A Live Chat That Will Appear On-Screen During The Show

On June 23 At 4:00 p.m. ET

The time has come to say goodbye, and Oxygen is giving "XENA" a send off with style. To mark the end of the series run of "XENA, Warrior Princess," Oxygen will air the first episode, entitled "Sins Of The Past" (original air date Sept. 4, 1995) on Saturday June 23 at 4:00 p.m., before the series finale airs.

Oxygen has secured the rights to air the series exclusively beginning October 1, 2001, where it will be the only place in this life or the afterlife to find "XENA, Warrior Princess."

As Oxygen celebrates the fearless princess of antiquity, Lucy Lawless will be LIVE in the Oxygen studios on the daily talk show, "Pure Oxygen," Thursday June 21, beginning at noon, to answer the two best questions posted on the "XENA"/Oxygen message boards (the interview will also be available to watch online at oxygen.com). In addition, fans can log on to oxygen.com at 4:00 p.m. ET as "Sins Of The Past" airs and reminisce about their favorite "XENA" moments. The chat will appear in the "stripe" on the bottom of the screen during the show. Also, remember to check out a special "XENA"-fortified version of "Pure Oxygen" on Saturday June 23 at 1:30 p.m.

Oxygen regularly airs "XENA, Warrior Princess" Monday - Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday at 4:00 p.m. and midnight.

This groundbreaking series has redefined the female action hero. "XENA" is a witty and slyly subversive portrayal of a powerful feminist superhero with sex appeal and a sense of humor. The series chronicles the life-and-death-and-afterlife adventures of the fierce and fearless warrior princess, played by Lucy Lawless and her warrior bard sidekick Gabrielle, played by Renee O'Connor. In their travels through ancient imaginary lands, they fight to protect the powerless even as they struggle with their own inner demons. The stories of their adventures blend drama with humor and are enhanced by spectacular action, superb special effects and a knowing modern-day sensibility.

"XENA, Warrior Princess" is produced by Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi's Renaissance Pictures (Timecop, Hard Target, Army of Darkness, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Back 2 Back Action) and distributed by Studios USA Domestic Television.
