The body remembers
What the mind would forget,
A brush of the lips,
The touch of your hand.
The body regrets
What the heart would deny,
Skin pressed to skin,
The glint in blue eyes.
The body recalls
Every movement you made;
The will rejects passion,
But the flesh won't obey.
Though time slowly passes,
Since I lay by your side,
The body remembers
And won't be denied.
