Received the following from my friend Dave in Melbourne and it's rather unhappy news. The Hub Productions Xena Convention which was going bring out Hudson Leick and Danielle Cormack to Australian fans. It seems they were trying to get Lucy as well but that didn't work out due to Lucy's schedule.  Unfortunately for fans instead of going ahead with the convention with Hudson, Danielle and other guests, The Hub has decided to cancel this event. There is going to be quite a few people who would be very disappointed in this turn of events.

Here is the email that they sent to everyone regarding the cancellation

If you haven't already heard, we're sorry to have to tell you that our Xena event is being cancelled. Despite her and our best efforts to make the scheduling work, the lovely lady who was to be the crown jewel of our Xena event, Lucy Lawless, is unable to make it to Australia at this time. With that being the case, and considering the availability of our other intended guests and other factors, we feel we cannot go ahead with at this time. It's a sad decision we've had to make, because we're not sure we're going to be able to make a Xena work in the future.

With regards to your tickets, there are three possible courses of action you may choose from. Firstly, as we are cancelling the event, you are entitled to a full refund, including any and all transaction fees applied at our end (if you opt for this, we will discuss your options for refunds subsequently). Secondly, you can use your ticket price as a credit towards any other Hub event (though if there is a difference in price, you will still need to cover that). Finally, you can request we hold your payment as a credit towards any future event. Please advise us of your preferred course of action at your earliest convenience.

Please note, you may experience a delay in response until mid-next week, as we are out of state for an event from Thursday. Our apologies in advance.
