What do you do when you love a show? Some people send letters to the actors or others write fan fiction. I'm not great in writing letters, nor creating a fan fiction story. So I decided to do what I knew best, children comics. That’s how Little Xena was born. It was my way of paying homage to Xena, Warrior Princess. As soon as the Little Xena artworks were finished, I sent them to the AUSXIP site (Australian Xena Information Page). I sent them to MaryD hoping she would post the girls on her art page. I was surprised to receive her positive response about what I had done.

It was August 1999, and at that moment Little Xena and Little Gabby began their lives in Xenaverse. A new world was revealed to me, full of pleasant surprises, friends who stayed until today and others that have left me with many memories. To celebrate the 16th anniversary of Little Xena and Little Gabrielle, a big adventure is waiting for them as a gift. Little Xena: The series!

We will be posting new adventures of these two little warriors in weekly episodes. Have fun!

Adrienne’s New Series on IndieGoGo! Check it out!

Image636004169101533770Adrienne has a new project and it needs some tender loving care in the funding area. The show Sidetracked has 12 episodes for the first season. The cast shot four of those episodes earlier in the year. They need funding to finish the final eight episodes.

Everyone on the cast/crew/production is donating their time for free but of course there are expenses such as food, locations, equipment etc.

The indigogo campaign will run for the next 14 days.    Some very cool perks are available including producer credits, walk-on roles and having characters named after you.  Fun stuff.

The feedback on the first 4 eps of Sidetracked was really wonderful - it tells stories that are normally not the featured characters, and with fresh writing and surprising performances, it has a chance to make a real mark.    Would love to see them hit their fundraising goal.

Interview: Genevieve Valentine talks Xena: Warrior Princess Comic Book #4,

ImageGenevieve Valentine is interviewed on the Dyanmite comic book site:

Genevieve talks about Xena: Warrior Princess #4, on sale in July from Dynamite.

BB: As the book reaches issue #4 in July, are there any aspects of this tale that you would love to take in another direction – even in a spinoff series maybe, or a sequel – to explore in more detail? If so, what are they?

GV: There are so many places any Xena story can go (one of the things I love about her!). But I can't lie, my first thought about this – based on an offhand comment in issue #3 – was a flashback issue about Ares and that dramatic-ass cape constantly trying to smooth-talk his way into places where he expects Xena to be, absolutely failing at every turn, and sullenly collecting a bunch of Xena merchandise just to deflect everybody's suspicions about the guy who keeps "casually" pretending to look for a woman who's been dead for 25 years. Would it work? No. Did it stop me from imagining it? Nope.
