Attention Xenites, Horse lovers and people who hate animal abuse/neglect of all types!
Two of our own - Sr. Bard and Jr. Bard - are in the process of assisting on saving 13 horses. They are arranging homes for 10 of them, but three have caught their hearts personally and they need our help! One is a Palomino just like our beloved Argo.
Another is the spitting image of Gabby's horse in Season 6. The third... well no man or horse left behind right?? The three have made their own little mini-herd inside a herd and separating them is not an option. The situation these horses are in is getting worse. The... I hate to use the word man or even person to describe someone who would neglect animals... thing who currently has control of these animals is not letting them go without a fight. While they have plenty of grass to eat, their hooves are all in terrible condition – foundering, abscesses, all overgrown and sore. Allergies and other health concerns are ignored and their ‘owner’ believes in the stick not the carrot method of training. With adoption fees, transport and veterinarian care, the cost has become too much for our two friends and they need our help.
