It is with great sadness I announce the passing of Suzie Solares who lost her battle with brain cancer on 9 April 2008.

The following is from CindyT:

My best friend and adopted sister, Susie (aka Chimpycheeks), lost her battle with brain cancer about 3 hours ago at her home in Cudjoe Key, FL. Not unexpected, obviously, but none the less difficult to accept.

I wanted to thank all of you for your wonderful, heartfelt love and concern about Susie over the past 10 months. They've not gone unnoticed or unappreciated, I assure you. It's just been very difficult for me to discuss things and I've found myself very withdrawn as a result. Not a roller coaster ride I would ever wish on anyone.

Susie was a true Xenite...my Gabrielle (or as I would usually call her "Gab-I-Elle"), and truly a soulmate. The rest of my days here on earth will not be the same without her infectious laughter, wicked sense of humor, and her love and support in everything I did. She never failed to lift me up when I was down...today I'm looking to the heavens, content that the dead CAN hear our thoughts, and praying for the strength she can send to lift me up from one of the most difficult and painful losses I will ever suffer.

I have a HUGE favor to ask. If any of you have any thoughts, prayers, etc. that you would like to share with "our" family, please forward them to me. I know that the rest of the Solares family would love to see how much she was loved in the Xenaverse!
