Sheri Tiger Tyler was born on October 7, 1938, and she fought her last battle on May 13, 2023. She was 84 years old young.

On May 13, 2023, the Xenaverse were shocked when the news reached us that Tiger had passed away. She suffered a  tragic accident at the 2023 Xenite Retreat. She was with the people she loved most: at the Xenite Retreat, spending time with her wife, Marilyn, and the rest of the Xenite family. A much loved Amazon Elder who touched the lives of so many people.

A moving memorial service honoring Tiger’s life was held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, against the backdrop of the ocean and a beautiful blue sky. The celebration commemorated the impact Tiger made on so many people. Her family and the Xenite Community were present. Her wife, Marilyn Edwards, friends including Steven L. Sears, Renee O’Connor spoke. An international group of Xenites watched the live feed and celebrated the life of Sheri Tiger Tyler.

Dear Xenaverse,

As many of you know, a long time Xena supporter, Tiger, has passed away.

She died as a result of a fall at Xena retreat. Perhaps we can only hope that when our time comes, we are doing something that we love and are surrounded by a community that cherishes and is supportive of us. Marilyn, we all mourn your loss.
